Desk Report,
If you fail in one subject, you will fail in another.
The SSC exam results of a student from Lakshmipasha Adarsh School in Lohagara Upazila of Narail have shown that he passed the exam in a subject he failed in the previous year; but failed in a subject he passed the previous year this time.
If you fail in one subject, you will fail in another.
The student’s name is Roman Molya. He took the SSC exam in Electrical Trade under the Technical Education Board.
According to the school and the student, Roman Molya was admitted to the ninth grade in Electrical Trade in the technical branch of Lakshmipasha Adarsh School in the 2021-22 academic year. In 2023, he took the SSC exam. Although he passed in all the subjects, he failed in the subject ‘Bangladesh and World Introduction’. The next year, in 2024, he took the exam in the same subject again. However, he could not pass it either. Then in 2025, Roman took the exam in the subject ‘Bangladesh and World Introduction’ again. This time he passed in that subject; he got an A- grade. But this time, the setback occurred in another subject. The results list shows that he failed in agricultural education. However, he had passed in that subject in the previous two results. Despite this confusing situation, the board has published Roman’s overall result as ‘pass’, where his GPA is shown as 4.14. Roman Molya says, ‘I am being shown as failing in agricultural education. I did not take the agricultural education exam this year. And in the previous two results, I had passed in agricultural education. At first, I could not understand anything after looking at the result sheet. Later, I saw this matter. I am mentally stressed. I am contacting the sirs, but so far I am not getting any clear idea.’
In this regard, the headmaster of Lakshmipasha Adarsh School, S. M. Muraduzzaman, said, ‘This should not have happened in the results. However, I think it may be a typing mistake by the person in charge. I am trying to resolve the issue by contacting the board regarding the student’s results.’
